I am a professional tutor with extensive experience in secondary and further education. I am also a practising artist and sculptor (First class BA hons).
I guide the complete beginner, step by step, through a variety of basic techniques whilst more experienced artists are supported in the development of their own projects. I will encourage you to develop your own style and interests. We work from a variety of subjects including still life, the figure, portrait, animals and landscape. I regularly teach you new techniques and introduce you to the work of different artists and potters as a source of inspiration. Students have the opportunity to regularly exhibit their work.
It’s a great way for you to learn new skills and make new friends in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Class numbers are kept low to maintain a high standard of tuition.
The course runs over three terms 10 week terms a year. This term starts on Monday 8 January 2018 until Friday 9 February with a break of one to two weeks, running again from Friday 23 February to Tuesday 27 March.
